About Rosie & The Flowers
Rosie & The Flowers offers seasonal floral design for weddings, events & bouquet deliveries within Cambridge and the surrounding villages.
After studying art and photography at college I then went on to gain horticultural qualifications with the RHS, working as a gardener for many years. Then seven years ago I found floristry and fell in love with the idea of growing and designing with flowers.
This concept of sowing seed, nurturing the seedlings, tending the garden and then cutting the flowers to arrange for my work is so important to me. Seeing the flowers through from tiny seed to cut bloom, gives me a special relationship with my designs and an appreciation of nature.
I grow many varieties of flowers in my cutting garden where I work from my home studio, and live with my husband and cat Amelie, down a little track on the outskirts of Cambridge.
I garden and run my business as sustainably as possible, growing without the use of chemicals, peat free and composting or re using waste after events. It is important to me to work alongside nature and tread as lightly as possible on the earth, whilst providing beautiful flowers for my clients.
I love to work with all sorts of botanicals depending on the season, creating painterly, garden-like arrangements that are romantic, untamed, and a little bit different.
I’m available for full service events, one off commissions and editorials. I also offer ready to wear bouquets, buttonholes and table arrangements for smaller events.
In recent years I have also worked on a number of garden design projects for private clients in Cambridgeshire - and now also offer consultation, design and planting for small gardens or borders. I have helped design The Punter pub courtyard which I continue to maintain, as well as planting display at The Free Press and many other private gardens. I have a good knowledge of plants, with RHS qualifications and love to play with colour, texture and form. So if you’re looking for help with soft landscaping design I’d love to hear from you - you can find out more here.
